MAC D for Danger from The Matte Lip Collection of MAC Cosmetics is a dark berry lipstick with a matte finish. I really love the colour, I already own many red lipsticks in different shades but I didn't own this colour in my collection yet. It's the perfect fall and winter red, the berry undertone makes it look really chique.

MAC Beet from MAC Cosmetics is the sugar to the coffee of D for Danger. It has the same dark berry colour. The lip pencil has a soft and smooth yet not brittle texture and spreads easily on the lips. It has overall a great pigmentation, one swip is just enough.

I'm so happy with my gifts! I really like the formula of the lipstick and lip pencil. It's matte which makes it lasts for a long time, it can last up to 5-6 hours depending on what you eat or drink. Since you can build up the color, or leave a wash of colour on the lips, it'll leave a stain .
It is not dry nor hydrating, it's perfect!

Hi, the name is D. D for Danger! Does that sound too cheesy or rather cool and full of mystery and intrigue ? Probably the former but at least once in my life, I'm going to use that line to introduce myself. I mean who does not have a hidden desire to talk like 007 right? And thanks MAC for the inspiration 😀
So MAC launched the new 22 piece The Matte Lip collection last month in India. Some of the shades like All Fired Up, Flat Out Fabulous, Heroine, Pink Pigeon etc are repromotes but a majority of the shades are new. And the good thing is that all of the new shades have been added to MAC's permanent collection so even if you missed out on getting them this time, don't worry. I picked out three shades Whirl, Men Love Mystery and D For Danger. They are priced at Rs 1450 each.

Matte Lipstick Mac
I love the MAC Matte formula. The pigmentation is great, they last for hours, there is absolutely no shine and they are not too drying either. Atleast not like the Retromattes which are extremely drying. You do need to prep your lips before applying them though coz they will highlight every lip line, flake or imperfection. Best thing to do is to exfoliate, apply a balm, wipe it off and then apply the lipstick.
Majority of the new mattes are in shades of brown which is the color of the season but they also have a few dark reds. MAC has always been rather conservative in their shades but this time, they have surprised us with Matte Royal, a deep royal blue. I went for a mix of colors and picked up a light brown (aka the Kylie Jenner lip color), a lavender violet (I wanted to try something different) and a dark red.
